LifeLock Establishes Scholarships at Arizona State University

Five ASU students honored as first recipients of LifeLock Scholarships

PHOENIX (October, 5, 2007) – LifeLock, a leader in the field of identity theft protection, has donated $10,000 to establish five Arizona State University award scholarships. Two of which are the first-ever awarded scholarships for students participating in a new degree program in Applied Computing and Mathematics. Students were awarded $2,000 -- $1,000 per semester – which was used to offset the cost of tuition and books.

Two scholarships were awarded to accounting and marketing students in the School of Global Management and Leadership. The three remaining scholarship were awarded to applied computing students in the New College of Interdisciplinary and Leadership. Each ASU scholarship recipient will be recognized as a LifeLock Scholar. To qualify, students must be of either junior or senior level and maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0.

These scholarships underscore LifeLock’s significant investment in education at ASU," said Dr. Elizabeth Langland, Vice President of West’s Campus. “We are grateful for their commitment to the future, and we applaud their vision in helping provide students with an education that may have once seemed beyond their reach.

“These are full-time undergraduate students who work and strive to maintain their grades,” said Dr. Roger Berger, Chair of Mathematical Sciences and Applied Computing. “They care deeply about their education and work, and I commend them for their excellent attitudes and accomplishments.”
