LifeLock is Hands on in Kansas City
Local Non-Profit - Hands On Kansas City - to Receive Tickets to the LifeLock 400
TEMPE, AZ - Monday, September 24 - LifeLock CEO Todd Davis announced today that the organization will continue its community outreach in Kansas City with ticket donations to the LifeLock 400, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway the weekend of September 29-30. In addition to ticket donations to the Kansas City Metropolitan Chiefs and Sheriffs Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City, LifeLock is also partnering with Hands On Kansas City and will provide more than 100 tickets to the LifeLock 400 event weekend. The LifeLock 400 is the third of ten races in NASCAR's 2007 Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.
"The Kansas City community has been very supportive of the LifeLock 400 and we are excited to partner with some great organizations that deliver results in building stronger communities," said Davis. "The focus of Hands On Kansas is the same as the focus of LifeLock's volunteer program - developing a method for professionals to volunteer time and get involved in their communities."
Hands On Kansas City, formerly Kansas City Cares, represents a new type of volunteer organization that goes far beyond the traditional volunteer clearinghouse. Hands On Kansas City is designed to help its members give back to the community, but in a flexible way that accommodates their busy lives. Hands On Kansas City was founded in March 1994 by an enthusiastic group of young professionals who had heard of the success of the Hands on Network in fifty-four cities nationwide. Hands On Kansas City has grown to include over 1,000 members who regularly provide volunteer assistance to dozens of social service organizations throughout the metropolitan area.
"This is a very exciting opportunity for us to be able to reward our volunteers with tickets to the LifeLock 400," said Elizabeth Clayton, President of Hands On Kansas City. "Our volunteers donate countless hours to support our community and because of the support of LifeLock, we are able to show our gratitude."
